M-Series

Our M-Series metal tactile domes are round shaped switch contacts that were designed for mounting on membrane circuitry. They are designed to be pushed past the flat plane by .005-.010" for optimal tactile feedback. The M-Series domes will not invert when pushed past the flat plane. Applications requiring a low profile switch under a membrane overlay are a perfect fit with our M-Series domes. The M-Series domes come in six different sizes, and can be used anywhere a momentary switch with tactile feedback is required, while still achieving impressive actuation life cycles. The M-Series domes are placed on a membrane switch by means of pressure sensitive adhesive tape. In their relaxed state they rest on the outer rim of the primary pathway. When they are pushed, the centers of the domes collapse past the flat plane and make contact with the secondary pathway, thereby closing the circuit.
