Snaptron, Inc. provides customers with tactile dome switch products manufactured from 300 series stainless steel which may or may not be placed on an adhesive polyester carrier material. After review of the REACH Directive and various Guidance documents, Snaptron, Inc. has determined that its products are classified as Articles. REACH, 3(3) defines an Article as:

“An object which during production is given a special shape, surface or design which determines its function to a greater degree than does its chemical composition.”

In addition, Snaptron products contain no chemicals or substances of concern for intentional release during use, therefore Snaptron products are not subject to the registration process required per REACH.
